Cashews nuts will be exported from Nigeria by 2019– Agric Minister Ogbeh

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Audu Ogbeh, on Tuesday, aforesaid that the country would begin process its raw cashew whacky for export by 2019.
Ogbeh created this best-known at the maiden edition of the 2017 initial Bank Agric assemblage in port.
The assemblage is tagged: Reinventing Agriculture for property National Development.
According to him, this price of a weight unit of roast or processed cashew for export is $10,000 whereas the raw cashew is sold-out for $1,200.
He aforesaid it might be higher to method the whacky for export rather than exportation raw cashew whacky so as to learn from the high price of cashew whacky.
“So within the next 2 years we’ll now not export raw cashew whacky, however roast the cashew whacky for export.
“If we tend to manufacture a weight unit of roast cashew it’ll be sold-out at the international worth of $10,000, whereas a weight unit of raw cashew whacky sells for $1,200.”
